Matt Climie makes 24 saves as Stars shut out Moose 4-0

CEDAR PARK, Texas - Greg Rallo scored against his former team and Matt Climie made 24 saves as the Texas Stars blanked the Manitoba Moose 4-0 in American Hockey League action Friday.

Ivan Vishnevskiy, Perttu Lindgren and Aaron Gagnon also scored for Texas (9-2-2).

Rejean Beauchemin stopped 22 of 26 shots in his Manitoba debut. The Moose (8-8-2) lost their fourth straight game.

Vishnevskiy opened the scoring 12 minutes in as he came down the right side of the ice and fired a bullet inside the far post of the Moose net.

Tempers flared after the goal as Matt McCue and Luke Gazdic exchanged punches near centre ice.

Texas took a two-goal lead when Lindgren poked the puck behind Beauchemin at 6:21 of the second period.

Nathan McIver's cross-checking penalty put Texas on their first power play of the night at 6:46, and Gagnon took advantage with his third goal of the season.

Just 60 seconds into the third period, Rallo went high on Beauchemin for his team-leading sixth goal of the season.
