GMs in need of scoring apply here.
I would like to start by saying I'm not a Washington, Hershey or Alexandre Giroux fan for that matter, but I call them as I see them. I have had the opportunity to watch Giroux of the Hershey Bears several times over the past year and most recently in his pre-season game against the Buffalo Sabres.
At first glance he is a modest skater with average defensive skills, but this guy’s hockey IQ, shot accuracy and puck protection inside the blueline are off the charts and as good as any second-liner in the NHL.
Last year he had 60 goals in the American League and already has five more in six games this year.
With so many teams starving for some offense, would somebody please call Washington GM George McPhee and offer him a third or fourth round pick and get this guy in the show!

"We're playing the defending champs and you can tell they're not going to beat themselves. That team, just from them going all the way, you can see it over there. There's no panic…You can tell that's a machine over there and we've got to be at our best."
