Heatley named NHL's first star of week, Quick second, Henrik Sedin third

NEW YORK - San Jose Sharks left-winger Dany Heatley is the NHL's first star of the week after recording five goals and three assists in three games.

Los Angeles Kings goalie Jonathan Quick is the second star while Vancouver Canucks centre Henrik Sedin took third star honours.

Heatley led the NHL with eight points as the Sharks won two of their three games.

His best night came in Thursday's 6-3 win over Columbus, when he scored three goals, including the winner, and recorded an assist.

Quick stopped 80 of 88 shots to post three wins with a 2.67 goals-against average and .909 save percentage for the Kings.

Sedin finished tied for third among scorers with seven points (three goals, four assists) as the Canucks won two of their three games.
