Bruins sign forward Milan Lucic to three-year contract extension

BOSTON - The Boston Bruins have signed forward Milan Lucic to a US$12.25-million, three-year contract extension.

The deal, which will pay $4 million in each of the first two years and $4.25 million the third, will keep Lucic in Boston through the 2012-13 season.

The 21-year-old winger set career highs last year with 17 goals and 25 assists. He also had 136 penalty minutes and a plus-17 rating. He had three goals and six assists with a team-leading plus-12 in 10 playoff games.

All things considered, how would you rate this NHL season?












“I think when you’re at home the first two games, sometimes you get a little bit too comfortable at home. Then you come on the road, maybe it’s like a rude awakening…We’ve had three series to figure that out, learn it. We definitely want to be better (Monday), especially in the first game on the road.”
