THN.com Jersey Tournament: Round of 16

Zoom Image

Sweet. We’re down to the final 16 jerseys in our ultimate jersey ranking tournament.

We started in the hundreds, shaved the dead wood off to get down to 40 and now we’re dealing with the cream of the crop; the best sweaters in North American hockey.

Much like in our logo ranking tournament from last year, the NHL advanced eight of its teams to the Round of 16, so they will comprise half the entries in. From now on it’s a head-to-head, do-or-die voting process (view the tournament schedule on The Hockey News Jersey Rankings and Tournament Central page). Some interesting matchups will call on fan bases to come out in droves when Philadelphia takes on Calgary, Boston faces Minnesota, and Original Six rivals Toronto and Detroit have their traditional dress face off in our polls.

Can last season’s surprise logo finalist from Rimouski replicate that run? If so, they first have to overcome the rabid fans from North Dakota. Can the upstart Baby Blues from Toledo dethrone the perennial favorite – and defending logo champions – from Montreal? Can another surprise from last year – the Florida Everblades – keep their impressive run going, or will the slick-looking Stockton Thunder pull off an upset?

Whatever happens, the fate of each team’s future is now in your hands. Make your vote count for the best jersey in hockey as our tournament creeps slowly toward the final and the crowning of a champion.
