It's time to get rid of the loser point. If you ask me there's nothing more exciting than watching a team rise from the dead and make the playoffs, but it's not easy to do that anymore.
The loser point makes the standings closer and it's harder to move up.
Why would the NHL want this?
It's so much more exciting when teams can move up the standings when they start doing well, instead of being stuck.
If it will make it more exciting and make certain games more important if a win is a win.
Think about it.
