EDMONTON - The Edmonton Oilers signed centre Rob Schremp to a one-year deal Friday.
Schremp played four games for the Oilers last season, collecting three assists. He had seven goals and 35 assists in 69 games for the American Hockey League's Springfield Falcons. The five-foot-11, 200-pound native of Syracuse, N.Y., was Edmonton's second pick, 25th overall, at the 2004 NHL entry draft.
He had 57 goals and 88 assists for 145 points in 57 games in his final season with the Ontario Hockey League's London Knights.
