The Hockey News' NHL Jersey Rankings

Once again, we start at the top with our summer rankings.
 
The NHL goes under the microscope as we rank from first to last the best jerseys in the league.
 
Will the Original Six once again dominate? Who from the new school can crash the party?
 
While logos (last year’s competition) are certainly a big part of the hockey jersey, we also considered shoulder patches, striping and piping – so teams gained and lost points based on those factors. You'll also notice both home and away jerseys are used to represent the teams. Simply put, we took the one we liked best out of the two. Third or alternate jersey weren't considered.
 
Plus, influence counts for a lot; how many teams have cribbed off the Bruins’ spoked ‘B,’ or the New York Rangers’ design?

2		Boston Bruins	Often imitated, but the original still stands tall
3		Montreal Canadiens	Might as well call that middle line the 'Habs stripe'
4		Detroit Red Wings	Simplicity defined; focus goes right to winged wheel
5		Minnesota Wild	New school in the best sense; cool colors and logo
6		New York Rangers	Defines the diagonal lettering sweater
7		Philadelphia Flyers	We all know what the Orange and Black means
8		St. Louis Blues	Bluenote looks strong with some nice piping to back it up
9		Toronto Maple Leafs	Another crisp classic with clean stripes on arms
10		Calgary Flames	Great logo with national and provincial pride on shoulders
11		New Jersey Devils	Maybe it's Lou's influence, but such a strong-looking sweater
12		Los Angles Kings	Great crown, great colors, much better than third jersey
13		Washington Capitals	Caps went updated throwback for sartorial success
14		Pittsburgh Penguins	Lines draw eye to big, beautiful logo
15		Dallas Stars	Love the college-style name with number on front
16		San Jose Sharks	No one does teal like San Jose, though it is divisive
17		Edmonton Oilers	Nice colors and a classic logo
18		Phoenix Coyotes	Took a few tries to get there, but Dogs looking good now
19		New York Islanders	Number on breast always good; nice color scheme
20		Vancouver Canucks	It's a bit busy, but you know who you're rooting for
21		Atlanta Thrashers	Logo's not bad; crispness of white really shines
22		Carolina Hurricanes	Wins marks for hurricane flag details on shoulders, bottom border
23		Columbus Blue Jackets	Jury was mixed on logo, but another clean look nonetheless
24		Anaheim Ducks	Colors are nice, but not a lot going on otherwise
25		Nashville Predators	Another divisive logo with clean lines elsewhere
26		Colorado Avalanche	They called it the 'candy bar wrapper' when it came out
27		Florida Panthers	Panel wasn't feeling the execution on this one
28		Tampa Bay Lightning	Font is still a little amateur, even if the colors are cool
29		Ottawa Senators	Sens picked the wrong logo to go to war with
30		Buffalo Sabres	Even Sabres fans rue the day Buffaslug was hatched
