Thrashers re-sign goalie Kari Lehtonen, team's career goalie leader

ATLANTA - The Thrashers say they have re-signed Kari Lehtonen, the team's career leader among goalies in games played, wins and shutouts.

Terms of the deal for the restricted free agent were not disclosed when the deal was announced Wednesday by Thrashers general manager Don Waddell.

The 25-year-old Lehtonen went 19-22-3 last season with three shutouts, a 3.06 goals-against average and a .911 save percentage in 46 games. Lehtonen was selected by the Thrashers with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2002 draft.

Lehtonen has a 94-83-17 career NHL record with 14 shutouts, a 2.87 goals-against average and a .912 save percentage in 204 games with the Thrashers.
