RALEIGH, N.C. - Erik Cole is staying in Carolina.
The Hurricanes re-signed the free-agent winger to a US$5.8-million, two-year deal on Wednesday.
Cole has spent the majority of his career in Carolina, save for the 63 games he played in Edmonton last season before getting dealt back to the Hurricanes at the trade deadline.
The 30-year-old had 18 goals and 42 points in 80 games last season.
He briefly became an unrestricted free agent before agreeing to terms with the Hurricanes.
