Game 3 Cup TV ratings similar to first two but down slightly from last year

TORONTO - CBC's Stanley Cup final ratings are holding steady.

Game 3 of the Pittsburgh-Detroit series drew an average of 1.807 million viewers Tuesday.

That number was similar to the averages from the first two games over the weekend.

An average of 1.875 million viewers tuned in for Game 2 while 1.7 million viewers watched Saturday's opener.

But the Game 3 numbers are down slightly from last year when 2.041 viewers watched the same two teams battle for the Cup.

The Red Wings lead the best-of-seven series 2-1 with Game 4 set for Thursday in Pittsburgh.
