CHICAGO - The Detroit Red Wings were without two of their biggest stars for Game 4 of the Western Conference final against the Chicago Blackhawks.
Defenceman Nicklas Lidstrom was scratched Sunday with a lower body injury, while centre Pavel Datsyuk missed his second straight game with a sore foot after being hit with a puck in Game 2.
Lidstrom scored a goal Friday night's 4-3 loss in Game 3.
Right-winger Martin Havlat returned for Chicago. The team's points leader left Friday's game after a first-period hit from Niklas Kronwall.
Chicago goalie Nikolai Khabibulin was a scratch and replaced by Cristobal Huet.
Kris Draper also was a scratch for Detroit, which activated defenceman Chris Chelios for the first time in the series.
