Canadians unite to boycott NHL

If the Canadian hockey fan is frustrated with the NHL and Gary Bettman's reluctance to bring another franchise into Canada the simple solution is boycott.

No longer purchase tickets, jerseys or other NHL merchandise and this will affect the league bottom line.

If it’s true that the six Canadian teams provide a majority of the revenue then the impact should be immediate.

Revenue will affect the salary cap, which will eventual force lower player salaries. Then when the six Canadian teams are struggling financially it will be interesting to see if Bettman comes to bat for the Canadian franchises like he has done for U.S.-market teams like he has in Pittsburgh, Nashville and Phoenix.
