Playoff draft?

Watching the San Jose Sharks struggle in the first round against Anaheim, I have a new idea of how to set first round matchups: let the top seeds pick their opponents.

If the Sharks wanted to play the Blue Jackets in the first round, they could.

This way, top teams don’t get beat up in the first round by tough teams, even if it means playing teams with more points.
