The NHL awards night is one of my favorite things to watch each year, but I think they need to add a new trophy.
There should be an award for the player with the most assists during the regular season. In my opinion, an assist is just as important as a goal because in most cases, the goal wouldn't have been scored if it wasn't for the initial pass.
This award would let the Sidney Crosby's and Joe Thornton's of the league get some credit for their incredible playmaking abilities.
