Player of the Week - Feb. 2

The Hockey News’ player of the week for Jan. 26 - Feb. 1, 2009 is New Jersey Devils right winger Jamie Langenbrunner.

The 33-year-old, 13-year veteran posted six goals, seven points and a plus-5 rating in three games last week. Of Langenbrunner’s six tallies, three were game-winners as the Devils notched victories over Ottawa, Boston and Pittsburgh.

Picked 35th overall by Dallas in 1993, Langenbrunner now has 14 goals and 41 points this season - good for fourth on New Jersey - and is on pace to have the best statistical season of his career with 22 goals, 66 points and a plus-30 rating.
