NHL suspends Lightning forward Evgeny Artyukhin two games for kneeing

TORONTO - Tampa Bay Lightning forward Evgeny Artyukhin has been suspended for two games for a kneeing incident in Saturday's game against the Florida Panthers.

Panthers defenceman Ville Peltonen left the game late in the second period of Florida's 4-3 win after a knee-on-knee collision with Artyukhin. After the game, Panthers coach Peter DeBoer called the hit dirty.

Artyukhin received a minor penalty for tripping on the play, which occurred at 19:33 of the second period.

Artyukhin is eligible to return Jan. 27 against the Montreal Canadiens.
