Atlanta Thrashers acquire centre Rich Peverley on waivers

SUNRISE, Fla. - The Atlanta Thrashers acquired centre Rich Peverley on waivers from Nashville on Saturday.

The 26-year-old Peverley had two goals and seven assists in 27 games for the Predators this season. Peverley had five goals and five assists in 33 games as a rookie last season.

Sweet, not only will Kovalchuk resign to a long-term deal, but he may even take a pay cut to stay! Heck, I bet Hossa even resigns here come July 1st. Who doesn't want to play with Rich Peverley? He's almost a PPG player in the AHL! Success!
