Islanders recall centre Jeremy Colliton from Bridgeport

BUFFALO, N.Y. - The New York Islanders recalled centre Jeremy Colliton from Bridgeport of the AHL on Saturday, a day after left wing Andy Hilbert sustained a hairline fracture in his left foot in a victory over Toronto.

Hilbert, who has eight goals and 17 points in 35 games this season, is expected to be out indefinitely. Colliton has an assist in five games with the Islanders, and has 17 points in 25 games for Bridgeport.

Goalie Yann Danis also was recalled from Bridgeport on Saturday, and backed up Joey MacDonald against Buffalo. Rick DiPietro, who returned Friday night from a two-month layoff after his second knee surgery in five months, was scratched. He's expected to start Monday night at the New York Rangers.
