Player of the Week - Dec. 8

The Hockey News player of the week for the period of Dec. 1-7 is Chicago Blackhawks center Jonathan Toews.

The super sophomore tallied six points in three games during the week, capping it off with a game-winning goal and an assist in the Blackhawks’ 7-1 rout of Phoenix Sunday.

Toews also had the game-winner in Chicago’s 4-2 win over Anaheim Wednesday and scored two goals in the Hawks’ 5-4 shootout loss to Detroit Saturday.

He had three, multi-point games on the week.

All things considered, how would you rate this NHL season?












“I think when you’re at home the first two games, sometimes you get a little bit too comfortable at home. Then you come on the road, maybe it’s like a rude awakening…We’ve had three series to figure that out, learn it. We definitely want to be better (Monday), especially in the first game on the road.”
