New York Islanders recall Jeremy Colliton from Bridgeport of AHL

BUFFALO, N.Y. - The New York Islanders recalled centre Jeremy Colliton from the Bridgeport Sound Tigers of the AHL on Saturday.

The promotion comes a day after New York centre Frans Nielsen was laid out by an elbow from Devils defenceman Mike Mottau in the third period of Friday night's game at New Jersey. Nielsen had to be helped off the ice with head and leg injuries.

Mottau received a two-game suspension from the NHL on Saturday.

Colliton had 10 points in 18 games for the Sound Tigers. He was in the lineup for the Islanders' game at Buffalo on Saturday night.
