Fate of Saskin to be discussed in Thursday NHLPA conference call

In March, Saskin was given a paid leave of absence, along with senior director Ken Kim, following allegations they read NHLPA players' e-mails.

Lawyer Chris Paliare was subsequently retained as outside counsel to look into the situation. On Thursday, the board is expected to discuss those findings.

An internal review into the hiring of Saskin, conducted by Toronto lawyer Sheila Block, is also ongoing.

The executive board consists of 30 player-reps plus the seven-member executive committee.
