HAMILTON - Matt D'Agostini's second goal of the game with 1:23 left in the third period lifted the Hamilton Bulldogs to a 4-3 victory over the Rochester Americans on Saturday night in the AHL.
D'Agostini, who leads the Bulldogs in goals (11) and points (18), scored the game winner on a 5-on-3 Bulldogs power play, with Americans defencemen Michael Caruso and Alex Henry serving minor penalties.
Kyle Chipchura and Ben Maxwell had the other goals for Hamilton (10-4-1-0), which won for the sixth time in its past eight games. Yanick Lehoux added three assists in the victory.
Stefan Meyer and Janis Sprukts each had a goal and an assist to pace Rochester (2-12-0-1), winless in its last three games. Michael Duco had the other Americans goal.
Marc Denis made 14 saves to preserve the win for Hamilton.
Chris Beckford-Tseu turned aside 27 shots for Rochester.
