NEWARK, N.J. - NHL scoring leader Alexander Semin sat out the Washington Capitals' game against the New Jersey Devils on Saturday night.

Semin, who leads the league in goals and assists, missed the third period of the Capitals' 3-1 win over the Devils in Washington on Friday with an undisclosed upper-body injury.

Semin skated out for the pre-game warmup Saturday, the second game of the home-and-home series, but quickly left the ice. He had 13 goals and 27 points through Friday.
