The Hockey News player of the week for Oct. 27 to Nov. 2 is Anaheim Ducks center Ryan Getzlaf, who notched 10 points in four games.
The star power forward posted five assists in a 5-4 overtime win against the defending champion Red Wings to help extend his team’s winning streak to five games.
Getzlaf scored at least two points in each game he played last week, except Halloween’s matchup against Vancouver when he had just one. He was also a plus-4 during the week.
The 19th overall pick in the 2003 draft, Getzlaf is second in team scoring to Corey Perry with four goals and 14 points in 12 games.
