Los Angeles Kings sign forward Jarret Stoll to four-year deal

LOS ANGELES - Jarret Stoll is ready to start life with a new NHL team.

The 26-year-old forward agreed to a US$14.4-million, four-year contact with the Los Angeles Kings on Thursday. The Kings acquired Stoll from Edmonton in June as part of the trade that sent Lubomir Visnovsky to the Oilers. Stoll was selected in the second round of the 2002 draft by Edmonton and spent the past four seasons in the Alberta capital.

In 286 career regular-season games, he has 59 goals and 165 points.

Thanks Stilts and Mario, It's appropriate that the "other leagues" suddenly notice our team...as if...the curse of montreal on all of them!!! I couldn't be more thrilled that articles on our Kings are drying up and the absolute morons who think we are their garbage can for trades like the bulin swamp )ya, right) are finally disappearing back into their armchairs. The less said about our guys, the better! It's fun to have a meeting place to talk, but the SI jinx is just sitting there waiting for it's next victim-let's not have it upon us anymore! As already mentioned, NO PRESSURE ON OUR GUYS/NOTHING TO LOSE. I can't imagine a better scenario...and as Mario said, the caps fans will crawl back into their toilet as soon as the Caps slip back into anonymity...they always have and will. You'd think with all the phony money they're printing there, the Caps could fill their seats every night? LOL And, ya, to bad for the Blues...my heart just bleeds for them...but Andy knows all about having teams decimated by injuries...I think a record was set while he coached our Kings...a who's who of the NHL way back when. Ya know, I was thrilled for the Mighty Ducks when they won the Stanley Cup, but I had no idea what a bunch of jerk-off fans they had. I guess they bought into the "man-made" rivalry crap. So remember the arrogance you folks created when the Kings reach the level the Ducks once had...of course, the CAP will take care of that situation soon enough...in fact, it's already begun to eat away at them. So keep that oxygen mask handy mike m...you'll need it when you lose both your GM and that top notch rating. Besides, the seats suck at the duck pond! Meanwhile, good luck to Stoll and Greene. I think it will be fun having some guys fresh in from Edmonton getting a chance to experience perfect weather and a city that is full of life and awesome beaches. just hope they don't forget about playing hockey LOL GO Kings!

M. SANCHEZ-Press the CAPS LOCK button and turn off the all caps, please. Mike M.- enough with the Lombard/AEG bashing. Like them or not, the Kings finally have some kind of ownership/front office stability. Leave it be and let them do their job. Paul-Of course the Kings aren't expecting to or planning to make the playoffs this year. If we do, it would be a pleasant surprise but Lombardi isn't counting on it. Just sit back and enjoy watching the youth grow and learn. Soon enough the Kings will be THE power in the West.

That is why you traded for our old NetMinder who blotted from that hell hole we call the Capitals home, To play in a town were hockey fans actually know something about the game... See here Kings fans may not be as strong as over night sensations as the CRap FANS sorry I ment CAP FANS!!! You still sat there reading every word I wrote... You and that QUACK fan can sit together and hold hands wondering what happen to all those fans as yourself went when you start losing again. So now go Caps.... What a Joke! hey L.A. Aside from money matters, Blake and Visnovsky would have been excellent groomers for our young defense. The Kings need a veteran D-man to take Johnson, Hickey, Doughty and Teubert under his wing and show them the way.

Oh yeah and Ducks fans, Detroit has the Cup so shouldn't you be jumping bandwagons by now? At least Kings fans stick with their team even through tough times!!! I'd rather watch the Kings rebuild for 10 yrs than be a Ducks fan for one night....

MARIO SANCHEZ. I think we learned in kindergarten that words at the beginning of the sentence and proper nouns start with capital letters. Everything else is lower case. And I doubt Dean Lombardi will read your post. Notice how D and L are capitalized. Speaking of capitilization GO CAPITALS!!

Oh and one more thing PAUL. As far as the KINGS letting go of FLAKE i mean BLAKE....your gonna tell me that it the KINGS should have signed 38 year old Blake for 1 year for 5 million like the sharks did?? 5 MILLION? REALLY??? Just goes to show that this QUACK fan has no clue what he is talking about. These guys are instant over night hockey fans.... JUST ADD WATER!!!
