I had a poor season i know. To the team that will sign me to a contract i will score 41 goals this year. Detriot or San Jose please sign me ill work for minimum wage.

I see a lot of negative comments about Muzz bur I think everyone forgot what he did for Boston. If he had a half decent line and a better front office he would be back to the scorer he once was. Furthermore, you want to mention dead weight, Chara is the biggest of them all. He can't hit, a lot of penalties not to mention the give aways. Come on all, let's be reasonable. When Muzz is on another team I hope he could quite the non believers.

LOL @ Habs being the best team in the east by far. The only reason they had the season they did wasnt because of what they did, it was because the Sens fell flat on there face the last 50 games or so, and Boston and Buffalo played 500 hockey at best. Good post though Les Habitant, sure made me laugh

maha (Posted 2008-07-25 02:01:49)
this guy is going through rapid decline. not Western Conference material. How can all of you Canuck haters all claim that my team should grab him ? His wheels were never great and with a worn out hip flexor, Murray's career is in serious doubt. If he was a horse, kind hearted farmer would take him out behind the barn and knock out his brains ..

GoalDigger (Posted 2008-07-24 22:31:23)
Bet he signs with the Wings for around $500k. I'd like to win a Stanley Cup too. Make a nice addition to the third, or fourth lines.

Les Habitant (Posted 2008-07-24 20:22:35)
I sure hope my Habs sign scoop him up once he becomes a UFA, even though we're the best team in the East by far, it never hurts for some depth that can score if someone goes down to injury. Depth wins Stanley Cups! Go Habs Go!

Flyerfan52 (Posted 2008-07-24 19:56:46)
He used to be pretty good (not great) and that makes him a perfect fit for the Leafs or Canucks. Actually, he could probably help either team (?).

Maxime (Posted 2008-07-24 14:42:16)
I must say, with 7M left in cap space, he's a perfect fit for Toronto...that way, no more money to sign Sundin should he feel like he owes something to the Leafs! (Not that i believe that...we'll see if he's a money man, a guy who likes home whatever the result, or a guy who wants to win)

Lou & the ole baboon (Posted 2008-07-24 12:39:25)
Another casualty of the Thornton trade, poor ole Glenn's stats went right down the tubes when his playmaker left.

Lamar (Posted 2008-07-24 00:39:37)
C'mon guys, this is right up Cliff Fletcher's alley! They get to be younger and would be the perfect pick-up for the Leafs in their plan to get the first shot at Tavares.

Uncle Johnny (Posted 2008-07-24 00:35:15)
Although he had to go i will miss glenn. Someone would be stupid not to pick him up after he is bought out. San Jose would be a perfect fit if they have cap room.

James Finney (Posted 2008-07-23 22:32:40)
John, I agree that Axelsson (as much as I've loved him over the years) may be the next to go (he's been pretty lazy lately). With the goaltending though, Rask is going to have at least one more AHL year - he did good, but not that good and still needs development. After this year, they'll probably dump Manny and have Thomas/Rask in Boston. If Manny does really good, they might dump Thomas and have Manny/Rask. The net seems pretty solid right now - especially with the defense the way it is.

john marischuk (Posted 2008-07-23 19:45:54)
yes i think the writing was on the wall.i think PJ Axelsson may be next.what happens now with a healthy Manny Fernandez do you let TimThomas go for Tuuka Rask to be a back-up.

confidential (Posted 2008-07-23 19:22:39)
He could play on the first line of the Crapnucks with the sedin sisters...

Maxim (Posted 2008-07-23 17:42:02)
LA, might be a good fit, a team that needs some time to grow, Glen would throw 20 goals in I bet.

Joe D (Posted 2008-07-23 17:36:19)
with Savard, Ryder, Sturm, Bergeron, Lucic, Kessel, Krejci, Axelsson and Kobasew locks for the top three lines, there's no place for Murray.... but with that albatross of a contract there won't be any takers....

Cai (Posted 2008-07-23 17:10:20)
I beg to differ Noah.Leaf fans are way more stupid than Habs fans!

Andrew (Posted 2008-07-23 17:03:05)
Go Back to L.A. you where already there you know what its like

James Finney (Posted 2008-07-23 16:57:32)
The only team I can see getting him is LA simply because they need to get above the floor. He also might help out their young guys, though probably not too much.

Noah McTeer (Posted 2008-07-23 16:50:46)
dave, you must be a Canadiens fan, because no other fans in the league are so stupid.

John (Posted 2008-07-23 16:48:35)
I'd like to see him get taken by the Wild. Replacing Demitra and Rolston's offence from within might be tough. Although 4 million for 10-15 goals is pretty steep.

James Finney (Posted 2008-07-23 16:39:53)
Thank God. Worst case scenario they have to buy him out and pay much less. Free up some cap space and give some high minutes to a better player like Kobasew.

dave (Posted 2008-07-23 16:34:19)
pick him up Toronto! he would be a nice fit....4M 1 season won't matter for them either

willhead (Posted 2008-07-23 16:32:57)
Hellow Los Angeles. Murray may be a dino but he can help espesally for a club that needs to make up so 10 to 13 million to make the minimum

Surf (Posted 2008-07-23 15:44:15)
Yes i agree he has struggled and that his game is very old school. He is a class act though. I hope someone does pick him up -but at his salary (4.5 Mil US this year)-i am guessing he won't get picked up. Best to Glen but the B's needed to make this move

Maxim (Posted 2008-07-23 15:41:10)
I wouldnt put 18 goals as useless, Glen had a lot of good years but his time as an nhl sniper is up.

bostongm (Posted 2008-07-23 15:29:22)
Somebody please pick-up this bum!!! This guy is a dinosaur. Always skating hunched over and cocking his slap shot in a crowd of players. In short.....he's useless.
