Colorado Avalanche sign forwards Cody McCormick, Brian Willsie

DENVER - The Colorado Avalanche signed forwards Cody McCormick and Brian Willsie each to a one-year contract Tuesday.

McCormick, 25, played in 40 games for the Avalanche last season. and had two goals and two assists. He was Colorado's fifth choice (fifth round, 144th overall) in the 2001 Entry Draft.

Willsie, 30, was Colorado's seventh choice (146th overall) in the 1996 Entry Draft. He made his NHL debut with the Avalanche in the 1999-2000 season and spent parts of three seasons with the team.

He spent the last two seasons with the Los Angeles Kings.

Cody McCormick?? If bluster could win cups Colorado would be king! Honestly, lets see how Sakic does against Boogy.
