TORONTO - The Toronto Maple Leafs acquired winger Ryan Hollweg from the New York Rangers on Monday for a 2009 fifth-round draft pick.
Hollweg, 25, had four points (2-2) and 96 penalty minutes in 70 games for the Rangers. He has 12 points (5-7) in 200 career NHL games, all with the Rangers.
The native of Downey, Calif., was originally New York's eighth-round choice, 238th overall, in the 2001 NHL draft.
New York gets Pittsburgh's pick in next year's draft, acquired by Toronto in the deal that sent Hal Gill to the Penguins at the deadline.
