EDMONTON - The Edmonton Oilers signed forwards Marc Pouliot and Jean-Francois Jacques to two-year contracts on Wednesday.
Both players split last season between the Oilers and the Springfield Falcons of the American Hockey League.
Pouliot had seven points (1-6) in 24 games with Edmonton last season. He will receive US$725,000 in 2008-'09 and $925,000 in 2009-'10.
Jacques did not record a point in nine games with the Oilers. Financial terms for his deal were not immediately available.

- Ottawa's Chris Neil about a hit he threw on Tampa's Victor Hedman Thursday night, causing Hedman to leave the game.
