The Hockey News player of the week for the period of June 2 to June 8 is Detroit Red Wings forward Henrik Zetterberg.
The 27-year-old Swede had four points in the last two games of the season, including the Stanley Cup-winning goal.
While his team was crowned champions after a 4-2 series win over the Pittsburgh Penguins, Zetterberg also won the Conn Smythe, given to the MVP of the playoffs. His 27 points in 22 games tied Sidney Crosby for the post-season scoring lead.
