The Hockey News player of the week for the period of April 28 to May 4 is Philadelphia Flyers forward R.J. Umberger.
Capable of playing both wing and center, Umberger was dangerous from everywhere in Round 2 versus Montreal.
The 6-foot-2, 200-pounder scored five goals over the final three games – all wins – of Philly's five-game triumph over the Habs.
Umberger bagged a pair of goals in Game 3, one in Game 4, then posted a two-goal, three-point night in the Game 5 clincher.
The Pittsburgh native will be looking to keep up his hot play against his hometown Penguins in the Eastern Conference final.
