What is with Chris Pronger only getting eight games for stomping on a player’s leg? Chris Simon got 30 games for the same thing. They both have previous suspensions.
I don't understand Colin Campbell’s reasoning for giving Pronger only eight games. If it were up to me, Pronger would be suspended for the rest of the season and playoffs.
It was clear intent to injure in both cases. It is clear to me Campbell treats the stars and the rest of the players differently when handing down punishment.
This suspension would have set the precedent in the league.
The idea of suspending players for inappropriate actions is to deter them from happening in the future and not to let them out of jail free.
