Cap keeps on climbing

How different are team salaries going to be for next year (big-market teams especially) from pre-lockout days?

If the salary cap goes up by $3 million, as it is rumoured, the floor will also be raised by $3 million. That means the cap will be at almost $54 million and the floor close to $38 million.

If I were to look at it this way, if the cap is going to be that high, the Colorado Avalanche would have been able to keep Peter Forsberg, Rob Blake, and arguably Adam Foote.

When is it going to be up to 65 million, or more!?
