Ovechkin, Jagr and Nabokov named NHL three stars of the week

NEW YORK - Washington Capitals forward Alexander Ovechkin was named the NHL's first star of the week Monday after recording seven points in three games.

New York Rangers forward Jaromir Jagr was named second star and San Jose Sharks goalie Evgeni Nabokov was the third star.

Ovechkin had five goals and two assists as the Capitals won two of three games last week. Jagr also had seven points (4-3) in three games.

Nabokov recorded three straight road victories last week.

He had a 1.34 goals-against average and a .949 save percentage.
