The Hockey News player of the week for Dec. 10 - Dec. 16 is Calgary Flames left-winger Kristian Huselius.

The 29-year-old Swede had two five-point games over the past week, registering 11 points in three games. With a hat trick in a win over Tampa Bay and four assists against St. Louis, Huselius has solidified his place on the top line and is a big part of the Flames’ current winning streak.

A second round pick (47th overall) of the Panthers back in 1997, Huselius was traded to Calgary in exchange for Steve Montador and Dustin Johner in December of 2005.

Huselius has 33 points in 34 games and is on pace to equal his career high of 34 goals.
