Hartford Wolf Pack forward Nigel Dawes named AHL player of the week

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - Hartford Wolf Pack left-winger Nigel Dawes was named American Hockey League player of the week Monday.

Dawes had eight points (3-5) in three games last week. The 22-year-old has nine goals and 15 assists for 24 points this season, despite playing in only 12 of the Wolf Pack's 27 games.

Dawes also recorded five points (4-1) this season for Hartford's parent club, the NHL's New York Rangers.
