Senators GM Bryan Murray stepping down after 2015-16 season

The 2015-16 season will be Bryan Murray’s last as GM of the Ottawa Senators. Murray said he plans to step down following the upcoming season and will move into a role as an advisor. He has been Ottawa’s GM since 2007. More

    Canada with USA, Russia with Sweden in reported 2016 World Cup groups

    According to a report, Canada will play USA and Finland and Sweden will renew their rivalry in the round robin of the 2016 World Cup of Hockey. The leaked groups put Canada with USA, Czech Republic and Team Europe, while Sweden’s group will have Russia, Finland and the “young stars” North American squad.

    Report: Alexander Radulov could be heading back to the NHL

    According to a report, KHL star and former Nashville Predator Alexander Radulov could be heading back to the NHL in 2016-17. Radulov has allegedly been contacted by Patrick Roy, his former coach in the QMJHL. When Roy coached Radulov with the Quebec Remparts in 2005-06, the Russian winger scored 61 goals and 152 points in 62 games.

    Manchester Monarchs advance to Calder Cup final with conference final sweep

    The Los Angeles Kings' AHL affiliate, the Manchester Monarchs, are the first team to advance to the Calder Cup final after completing a sweep of the New York Rangers' affiliate Hartford Wolf Pack. Manchester was the regular season's best team, losing only 17 times in regulation, and are heading to the first Calder Cup final in franchise history.

    The Blackhawks needed a win to avoid elimination Wednesday in Game 6 of their fantastic Western Conference Final series vs. Anaheim. And thanks in large part to the stellar play of blueliner Duncan Keith, that's what they got. So rejoice, hockey fans - you're getting another Game 7.

    The Chicago Blackhawks came to play early in Game 6 of the Western Conference Final Wednesday, and nearly scored the night's first goal on a push by winger Brandon Saad. But Ducks goalie Frederik Andersen was sharp once again, stopping Saad with an astonishing toe save.
